Terms of Service
This document governs your use of The AI Lab's services and platforms. Please read it carefully.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using theailab.org, applying for AI asset certification through the Global Seal of Trust™ program, or joining the AI Trust Council™, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. The Global Seal of Trust™ Program
By applying for certification, you agree that all information provided is accurate and complete; that you grant The AI Lab permission to conduct an independent audit of the specified AI asset; that certification seals are awarded per-asset and are valid for 12 months from issuance; that annual renewal audits are required to maintain certification status; that misuse of a certification seal will result in immediate revocation; and that certification fees are non-refundable once an audit has commenced.
3. AI Trust Council™ Membership
AI Trust Council™ membership is subject to the following terms: membership fees are charged annually and are non-refundable; Gold and Platinum tier memberships are subject to invitation review; members must participate in governance activities in good faith; The AI Lab reserves the right to terminate membership for conduct materially harmful to the AI Trust Council™ integrity; and membership benefits are for the member organization only and may not be transferred.
4. AI Trust Registry™
Certified assets are publicly listed in the AI Trust Registry™. The AI Lab reserves the right to remove listings that no longer hold valid certification. The AI Trust Registry™ is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute a warranty or endorsement beyond the scope of the specific audit conducted.
5. Intellectual Property
The Global Seal of Trust™, AI Trust Council™, AI Trust Registry™, Sentinel™, Guardian™, and Sovereign™ marks are trademarks of The AI Lab. Certified organizations are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to display their awarded seals in connection with the certified asset only. This licence is revoked upon expiry or revocation of certification.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The AI Lab's services are provided "as is." Certification represents our assessment at the time of audit based on information and access provided. The AI Lab does not warrant that any certified AI asset will be free from all risks or adverse outcomes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The AI Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of New Jersey, USA.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify of material changes by posting updated terms with a revised effective date. Continued use following notice constitutes acceptance.
