Dr. Sofia Martinez

Dr. Sofia Martinez is the Chief Executive Officer and President of The AI Lab and co-founder of NeuriteAI. A neurosurgeon by training, she runs the company day to day and also serves as its Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary. She leads the operations, finances and governance of the organization that publishes the Trust Identity Protocol (TIP®), the open standard for verified human identity and content provenance.

She sets The AI Lab's media and outreach strategy, shaping how the company presents itself to the press, partners and the public, and she writes for it herself. Her essays for The AI Lab Insights include Why We Built the Trust Identity Protocol: AI Trust and Truth and Anyone Can Say It. You Can Prove It. She also taught the Spanish-language edition of The AI Translator course, bringing AI literacy to Spanish-speaking learners.

Her clinical background in neurological diagnostics and complex care workflows keeps the company's work in AI, machine learning and emerging quantum technologies tied to real-world use and patient-centered design.
